Whether you want to care for children in your home, teach pre-kindergartners in a large child care center, or be the director of a child care facility, Florida Coast Career Tech can provide the education you need. We offer low cost, hands-on training by child care professionals with many years of experience in the field. They make sure you’re fully prepared and have the credentials necessary to get to work fast.

If you want to provide child care in your home, our Family Child Care Training will prepare you for licensing. You’ll receive the 45 hours of instruction required by the State of Florida in topics like child care rules and regulations, child development, health, nutrition and safety, behavioral observation, literacy, and developmental appropriateness.

Maybe you would rather work in a large child care center helping children learn the skills they’ll need to be successful in kindergarten. Our Early Childhood Education program fulfills the requirements you’ll need for a Florida Staff Credential, making you eligible for facilities that participate in Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten or Head Start programs.

It could be you want to move up to child care center director. Our program in Child Care Center Operations will prepare you for the Director’s Credential required for each licensed child care facility. In this program, you’ll learn the organizational and management skills needed to run a child care center or family child care home.
