Whether rushing to a blazing fire or the scene of an accident, firefighters are everyday heroes. Putting their life on the line is part of the job. It takes a special person with special training to fill their boots. With the training you’ll receive through the Fire Academy at Florida Coast Career Tech, you’ll be ready to go when the alarm sounds. And you won’t be burned by high tuition costs. Our Firefighter program costs a fraction of what you would pay at the for-profit schools.

Train in our state-of-the-art training facility which includes a new maritime fire trainer. From scaling ladders and pulling hose to freeing victims from wrecked vehicles and putting out fires, you’ll get the hands-on experience required. You’ll also learn about communications, fire prevention, and handling hazardous material emergencies. Our training will fully prepare you for certification and employment as a firefighter in the state of Florida.
