If you’re ready for your career to take off, call us to reserve your first-class seat!

Cecil Center South — Aviation Center of Excellence (ACE) offers a complete range of programs to prepare students for a multitude of jobs in the aviation industry. America is facing a serious industry shortage for aviation technicians, managers, administrators, air traffic controllers and pilots. Projections show that employment will have grown by 14 percent from 1998 to 2008. This is a great time to start your training for a career in aviation, and this is a great place to begin.

FAR Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician School
As a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified part 147 school, we will train you to become an aviation technician and prepare you to take the FAA exams leading to Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
Pilot Training
If taking to the air is for you then you will want to know more about our Professional Pilot Technology program. With a contracted FAA part 141 Pilot School, and Florida State College’s state of the art simulators and ground school, you will be on your way to a career as a pilot. Graduates earn an associates in science degree (A.S.) as well as their FAA certifications and ratings for private and commercial pilot, airplane single and multi-engine land, instrument, and either certified flight instructor or aircraft transport pilot. The requirements may be demanding but the rewards are great.
Aviation Maintenance Management
For those aviation technicians looking to enhance their careers, the center’s Aviation Maintenance Management course is a good fit. This program leads to an associate in science degree (A.S.), for those who already hold an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification, that will prepare you for entry level management positions.
Aviation Operations
If you want a career in the fast growing aviation industry in administration, air traffic control or business management, this associate in science degree (A.S.) is for you.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Prep Courses
Do you have previous aviation experience? See what FAA certification in airframe and powerplant mechanics can do for your earning power. Consider that technicians earn an average of $20.16 per hour with certification but only $15.78 without certification. Now, ITS easy and convenient to take FAA test-preparation courses, and the tests themselves, at Florida State College. We are an FAA and Lasergrade approved test center. All FAA testing is open to the community.
